With the contributions of our country's research centers, universities and industry, important studies have been carried out in the field of space technologies, and our national satellites have been developed and successfully placed into the earth orbit. With each satellite developed in this process, infrastructure and know-how have been gained in the field of satellite design and production, and many critical systems and subsystems used in space technology have been nationalized. The Space Qualified Material Technologies Symposium, where the knowledge gained in these systems and subsystems and future studies will be presented, will be held in Istanbul on 14-15 December 2015 under the coordination of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Development, the Presidency of TÜBİTAK and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center.
