Within the scope of the project carried out with the support of the Eastern Marmara Development Agency (MARKA) and TÜBİTAK, testing services for the characterization of masks and functional textiles have started at the Protective Textile Testing Center (KOTTEM), which was established within the TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute.

The following analyzes are carried out at KOTTEM, established within the TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute:

• Respiratory resistance test on respiratory protective devices (TS EN 149 + A1)
• Filter penetration test on respiratory protective devices (TS EN 149 + A1)
• Bacterial filtration efficiency test on medical face masks (TS EN 14683: 2019 + AC)
• Breathability test on medical face masks (TS EN 14683: 2019 + AC)
• Viral filtration efficiency test (modified TS EN 14683:2019 + AC)
• Dry microbial penetration resistance test on protective clothing against infected agents (TS EN ISO 22612)

Wet bacterial penetration resistance test on surgical drapes, garments and fresh air garments (TS EN ISO 22610)
