Far East Technopark Visits of our President

Our President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır TUNABOYLU, together with Fikri IŞIK, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Hasan Basri GÜZELOĞLU, Governor of Kocaeli, and Prof. Dr. Haluk GÖRGÜN, Rector of GTU, made a series of visits to Singapore to make negotiations for "examining the technoparks in the region, making bilateral cooperation agreements between Singapore and Turkey and strengthening the relations between the two countries".

On the first day of the visits, inspections and meetings were held at Science Park I, Science Park II, Fusionpolis and Biopolis themed technoparks in Singapore. Within the scope of these examinations, which will form the infrastructure of the Informatics Valley Technopark, information was exchanged especially on the strategies that will make the region, the university and the technopark an attraction center for the industry.

The President visited the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A-Star), the equivalent of TUBITAK, and met with Prof. Raj Thampuran to discuss cooperation on issues such as the country's R&D support and incentive policies and technology production. The President visited the Fusionpolis Science Park and had the opportunity to examine the latest technology products developed.
