President Erdoğan Visited TÜBİTAK Stand

Opening the 12th International Defense Industry Fair IDEF 2015, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the TÜBİTAK stand and made examinations.

After the opening ceremony, President Erdoğan visited the TÜBİTAK stand and received information about the projects. Fikri Işık, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology; İsmet Yılmaz, Minister of National Defence; Mehmet Çelik, Deputy President of TÜBİTAK; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Tunaboylu, President of TÜBİTAK MAM; Prof. Dr. Arif Ergin, President of TÜBİTAK BİLGEM; and Erdal Çakmak, Director of TÜBİTAK SAGE were also present during the visit.

This year, MAM (Marmara Research Center), SAGE (Defence Industry Research and Development Institute) and BİLGEM (Advanced Technologies Research Center for Informatics and Information Security) participated in the IDEF Fair representing TÜBİTAK.

One hundred and eighty-five (185) local and foreign company officials visited the TÜBİTAK MAM stand, where contact information was received; portable lidar, biosensor device, unmanned aerial vehicle fuel cell systems, behind-the-wall imaging, military clothing for chemical hazards, fingerprint powders and sprays, battery samples, chemical hazards detection device, instant tea, pepper spray, palladium catalyst, underwater acoustics, composite and steel armor products were exhibited.
