Prof. Ian Mattaj, Director of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory-EMBL, and his delegation visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on June 15, 2016 accompanied by TÜBİTAK officials.
The EMBL Delegation was accompanied by officials from the TÜBİTAK MAM Business Development Unit, the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology (GMBE) and BİLGEM IGBAM, UEKAE.
With the presentations made by GMBE, BİLGEM and EMBL officials, detailed information about the studies carried out was conveyed and possible cooperation issues were discussed. It was evaluated that cooperation could be established in projects such as EU, Horizon 2020 etc.
Activities within the scope of EMBL visit of our researchers and organizing workshops between institutions will be planned with the coordination of TÜBİTAK.
