Hosted by TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute and in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization (MoEU), the meeting on "National Environmental Label" was held at TÜBİTAK MAM on April 16, 2018.

The meeting started with the speeches of Dr. Selma Ayaz, Director of the Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, and Kemal Dağ, Deputy Director General for Environmental Impact Assessment, Permitting and Inspection at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Then, topics on the importance of the Environmental Label for the business world were discussed.

The personnel and capabilities of the Institute's Cleaner Production Strategic Business Unit were introduced. A presentation on the National Environmental Labeling System and draft legislation was made by the Environmental Management System and Environmental Labeling Branch Directorate of the MoEU. Cooperation for the planned and coordinated implementation of information and training activities in order to raise public awareness and consciousness about the National Environmental Label was discussed. The physical/technical infrastructure and subsystems of the Instrumental Testing and Analysis Laboratory (HRMS, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, Twister GC-MS/MS), which will serve for the analysis of the analyzes specified in the National Environmental Label Product Criteria, were presented to the participants.
