"Nanotechnology Cluster Workshop-2" organized jointly by TÜBİTAK MAM, East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA) and Teknopark Ankara in order to determine the nanotechnology road maps of the energy, automotive, defense, health, textile, electronics and construction sectors and to create sectoral project titles to be proposed in the field of nanotechnology November 30, 2015 at TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE.

"Nanotechnology Cluster" project proposal is being prepared under the coordination of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) for the 3rd Clustering Call to be opened in 2016 by the Clustering Policies, Implementation and Coordination Branch under the General Directorate of Industrial Zones of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

The aim of the Nanotechnology Cluster is to provide pre-competitive unity that will provide high value-added nanotechnological products, process development and employment to our country's industry.

"Nanotechnology Cluster Workshop-1" organized jointly by TÜBİTAK MAM, BİLGEM, UME, Sabancı University, Gebze Technical University, TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Sabancı University, Gebze Technical University and TOBB University of Economics and Technology was held on 16 October 2015 at Istanbul Hilton Kozyatağı Hotel and consultations were held on the scope and planning of the cluster project proposal with companies, universities and R&D centers operating in the energy, automotive, defence, health, textile, electronics and construction sectors within the scope of nanotechnology. On November 6, 2015, the leadership group of the Nanotechnology Cluster was formed and the common vision of the cluster was determined.

A "Nanotechnology Cluster - Sectoral Status" report is being prepared in the light of the information obtained from the working groups of each sector at the "Nanotechnology Cluster Workshop-2" held on 30 November 2015 with 200 participants, including representatives from 53 companies operating in the field of nanotechnology, 20 universities and 4 R&D centers.
