The Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on September 6, 2023. Within the scope of the visit, an important meeting was held with the aim of increasing science and technology-centered cooperation.
MUSIAD Vice Presidents Burhan Özdemir, Osman Çalışkan and Abdurrahman Uzun, MUSIAD Board Members Erkan Gül, Abdullah Eriş and Altuğ Karataş and their executives attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, made a presentation introducing TÜBİTAK. In the presentation, TÜBİTAK's extensive research and development activities, infrastructure and scientific capabilities were introduced.
Prof. Dr. Mandal stated that TÜBİTAK plays a key role for the Turkish business world in the fields of innovation and competitiveness, and emphasized that cooperation opportunities between the business world and TÜBİTAK should be further developed in order to maximize Turkey's potential in technological transformation and innovation.
Information sharing and presentations were made by the Heads of Centers and Institute Directors affiliated to TÜBİTAK about the activities carried out in the fields of activity of the Centers and Institutes.
Emphasizing the importance of MÜSİAD's views and cooperation proposals on these issues, which stands out with its number of members, widespread branches across the country, strong corporate structure and seriousness of work in Turkey, he expressed his willingness to cooperate closely.
MUSIAD Vice President Burhan Özdemir made a presentation on MUSIAD's fields of activity, its organization at home and abroad, and how it can benefit from TÜBİTAK's knowledge and human resources.
This important visit between MÜSİAD and TÜBİTAK MAM is an important step to support Turkey's growth based on science and technology and to contribute to the country becoming a stronger player in the international arena. Both sides aim to shed light on Turkey's future by developing cooperation in the field of scientific knowledge and technology.
