The procedures and principles regarding the productivity project awards given by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology have been determined.

The Ministry's Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Efficiency Project Awards entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

According to the Regulation, the award executive committee will ensure the assignment of projects to evaluation groups, identify lead evaluators and independent evaluators, plan and implement project evaluation training for independent evaluators, and determine the number of projects to be subject to on-site review and final evaluation.

The period between the completion of the project and the application deadline will not exceed 1 year. The Ministry will undertake that all information contained in the business application form will be kept confidential, will not be shared with any person or organization other than the Ministry and independent evaluators, and will only be used for efficiency project awards.

A confidentiality agreement will be signed between the Directorate General and the independent evaluators, which will include the information of the applicant enterprises and the conditions and commitments regarding the evaluation process. Independent evaluators will be provided with project evaluation training on the award process and criteria before the evaluation of the projects.

According to the ranking to be made by the award executive committee, starting from the one with the highest on-site review score, 2 times the number of projects to be awarded will be presented to the award jury for final evaluation. As a result of the ranking starting from the one with the highest on-site inspection score, projects with equal points with the last ranked project will also be included in the final evaluation. The projects will be evaluated by the award jury by taking into account originality, being the subject of an invention, the economic, social and environmental benefit it creates, its contribution to the performance and export capacity of the enterprise, its contribution to the intellectual capital and innovation capacity of the country, its potential to be a good practice example and disseminable and similar criteria.

Using the final evaluation report, the jury will determine the projects that will be awarded in each category. Independent evaluators will be able to give a maximum of 5 additional points to the project.
