Fikri IŞIK, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, together with a delegation including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır TUNABOYLU, President of TÜBİTAK MAM, visited the University of California, Stanford University, the Computer History Museum, Avogy, Oracle, HP, Intel, Cisco, Apple, Google, Plug and Play and Tesla in Silicon Valley, USA in order to carry out TÜBİTAK Target Turkey workshops and to make contacts on science and technology issues.

The delegation met with scientists and academics from the Universities of California and Standford and organized the TÜBİTAK Target Turkey workshop. The delegation met with our citizens living in the region at our Consulate General in Los Angeles and listened to their opinions and suggestions. The delegation then visited the Computer History Museum, Avogy company, Oracle software company, HP company, Intel company, network technology company Cisco, Apple company, Google company, Plug and Play company serving entrepreneurs, and Tesla, an automotive company aiming to produce high performance electric vehicles. The delegation held meetings with Microsoft Technology Center officials in California, and met with Turkish entrepreneurs at METU Teknokent T-Jump San Francisco to discuss the latest technologies for the Informatics Valley Project in the USA.
