In the meeting held with the participation of Dr. Jozef Sestak, Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Istanbul and his Deputy Marian Seres; TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Dr. Orkun Hasekioğlu, Vice Presidents and Directors of Institutes, developments in the joint bilateral cooperation projects of TÜBİTAK MAM and Slovak Republic SAS (Slovak Academy of Sciences) and potential new collaborations were discussed.
Furthermore, a TÜBİTAK-Slovakia SAS Workshop is planned to be held in 2017. This will be the 5th workshop between Turkey and the Slovak Republic.
Relations between our country and the Slovak Republic in the field of science, technology and innovation are carried out in accordance with the Implementation Protocol concluded between our Agency and the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) on February 02, 2002. In addition to the bilateral cooperation program carried out in accordance with this agreement, a thematic cooperation program has also been implemented since 2012. Joint calls have been opened between the two Institutions since 2003.
