TUBITAK Marmara Research Center Environment and Clean Production Institute converts the "Treatment Sludge" formed in Waste Water Treatment Plants into biogas and liquid fertilizer by using biological methods.
MAM President Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan emphasized the importance of the project, which aims to contribute to the economy by re-evaluating wastes and at the same time aiming for the "Zero Waste" concept, and stated that they work with 7 different institutes for the Turkish industry and that MAM is the solution partner of the Turkish industry.
He stated that a project was developed to use waste water energy in smart cities and that they licensed this project to the private sector.
Kılıçaslan said that when the project reached a certain level of maturity, they included the private sector, and that it is important to disseminate this technology in the private sector and municipalities, and that it will be possible for municipalities to obtain more energy from their waste water.
