A consultation and preparatory meeting was held on 19 May 2014, hosted by TÜBİTAK MAM, to discuss the current situation and exchange ideas with the organizations in the Iron and Steel sector. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Tunaboylu, Prof. Dr. Ali Ata, Dr. İlhami Orak, Mehmet Fatih Selçuk, Hüseyin Soykan, Ahmet Taşkın, İbrahim Tozlu, Mehmet Yavuz attended the meeting. With this meeting, the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, the General Directorate of Industry and TUBITAK facilities will be activated in the coming period; it is aimed to study hot mine production technologies and determine the appropriate process (blast furnace, corex, finex, etc.) conditions according to the country and facility conditions, and to make hot mine production technologies possible in the country, especially in order to bring investment costs to reasonable levels.
