The Dahlem type workshop within the scope of Activity 2 of the project "Integrated Regional Monitoring Implementation Strategy in the South European Seas (IRIS-SES)", of which TUBITAK - Marmara Research Center is a partner and supported by the European Commission - Directorate General for Environment (EC-DG ENV), was organized by the University of Salento in Lecce - Italy on 14 - 16 May 2014. The workshop focused on the integration of the scales - temporal and spatial - of monitoring and assessment activities programmed at national and regional level (Mediterranean and Black Sea regions) in coastal and marine waters and seabed and their harmonization within the scope of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive. The workshop was attended by the Project partners HCMR (GR), IO-BAS (BG), NIMRD (RO), EIO (SP), UoS (IT), TÜBİTAK-MRC (TR) and other experts (UoM-Nostrum (SP), IOF (CR)).
