The Horizon Europe Program "Digital, Industry and Space" Cluster Information Day, which aims to support applicants throughout the 2021-2027 period under the Horizon Europe Framework Program, was organized by TÜBİTAK EU Framework Directorate in Gebze on 19 January 2023, hosted by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM).
During the event, presentations were made by Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space Cluster National Contact Points within the scope of Horizon Europe-wide and Cluster 4: 2023 calls. Following the presentations, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, Vice President of TÜBİTAK and President of TÜBİTAK MAM, delivered a speech on the meaning and importance of the day.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil said, "I would like to express that TÜBİTAK Centers and Institutes are your open stakeholders. Horizon Europe programs are both our success criteria and one of our most important goals. At this point, it is our internal goal to integrate the good human resources and research infrastructure here into the European Union and to be active in consortia. Together, we will realize critical collaborations for target-oriented, project-oriented, consortium formation in a more active format. Turkey is putting forward an important international vision for 2023. TÜBİTAK is the most important stakeholder of this vision. As TÜBİTAK, the EUREKA term presidency has started as of January 1. Turkey also holds the term presidency of WAITRO, another organization. Especially EUREKA, TUBITAK bilateral and multiple cooperation programs, COST actions, participating in Horizon Europe networks in different eranets, and creating consortia are very useful programs. We should also show the necessary interest in these programs."
More than 50 one-to-one meetings were held at the Information Day event, which was attended by 116 researchers from large industrial companies, SMEs, universities and research centers.
