FUTURE SCIENTISTS VISIT TÜBİTAK MAM

TÜBİTAK Science High School students visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on December 09, 2021.

Within the scope of the visit, TÜBİTAK MAM President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil made an opening speech and TÜBİTAK MAM presentation.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil stated that as TÜBİTAK MAM, studies are carried out for both technology development and product development, especially focused on high-tech product development, and said: "TÜBİTAK MAM, one of the leading companies in the world of advanced technology with its research capability and capacity, research infrastructure, world-class managerial and operating processes, offers unique solutions to public, defense and private sector institutions and organizations and academic institutions with its customer-oriented approach."

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil said, "You will be informed about the infrastructure and capabilities of TÜBİTAK MAM in the excursion program that will be held here today. During the visits to the Institute, you will have the opportunity to see the working environments and laboratories of our researchers closely. What you see here will be a source of inspiration for you in your future career choices."

After the opening speech, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy gave an introductory presentation to the students about TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute. In the presentation, information was given about the institute's fields of study and activities. Afterwards, the documentary "The Black Box of the Planet: Antarctica" documentary was watched.

The students visited the laboratories of the TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Chemical Technology, the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences and the Institute of Materials and were given detailed information about the work carried out in the laboratories by the authorities.

TUBITAK Science High School teachers and students who expressed their satisfaction with the visit to our center completed their visit.
