A Cooperation Protocol was signed between TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and Turkish Space Agency (TUA) on March 26, 2021.
TUA President Serdar Hüseyin YILDIRIM, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Dr. Osman OKUR, TUA Vice President Salih Metin KİBAR, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu ÖZSOY, TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Materials Director Prof. Dr. Metin USTA, Deputy Director Assoc. Dr. Salih DABAK and Chief Researcher Dr. Atilla YILMAZ from TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute attended the protocol signing ceremony.
Within the scope of the competencies of TÜBİTAK MAM and Turkish Space Agency, it is aimed to cooperate in coordination in the studies to be carried out in the field of space, to carry out studies that will contribute to national development, and to cooperate in the development and production of products/technologies.
Within the scope of the Cooperation Protocol, it is aimed to determine the general principles for studies in the field of space, space-qualified solar panels, high-temperature metallic materials and polar research cooperation, using the infrastructure and expertise of TÜBİTAK MAM and the Turkish Space Agency, and to determine the general principles for the development of products.
