TÜBİTAK MAM President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Tunaboylu delivered a speech on Smart Cities and Mobility at the World Automotive Conference in Istanbul. In his speech, Tunaboylu stated that TÜBİTAK's mission in this field is to make Turkey a leading player in the field of smart mobility. Tunaboylu said that in parallel with this vision, the Turkish Automotive Center of Excellence was established within TÜBİTAK MAM in 2015, and that the Center aims to create added value by applying advanced technologies to intelligent transportation systems and presenting them to local and global industries.

Tunaboylu also gave information about the Smart Mobility Cluster pioneered by TÜBİTAK MAM; TÜBİTAK Smart Mobility Cluster focuses on Smart Vehicles, Internet of Things, Continuous Data Collection in order to solve mobility problems in congested urban areas, especially in Istanbul, and we organize "Smart Mobility Cluster" workshops with project stakeholders in the field. TÜBİTAK MAM officials also participated in the round table sessions held within the scope of the conference and exchanged information with stakeholders.
