TÜBİTAK MAM Food Institute Coordinated EU Project PhenolAcTwin Started

The project "PhenolAcTwin- Enhancing Research and Innovation Capacity of TUBITAK MRC Food Institute on Dietary Polyphenols and Bioavailability/Bioefficacy (Grant Agreement no: 951994)", which was accepted within the scope of the European Union H2020-WIDESPREAD-2020-5 Twinning call and coordinated by TÜBİTAK MAM Food Institute, has started. PhenolAcTwin is one of the two projects supported for the first time under the coordination of TÜBİTAK within the scope of EU-H2020 calls.

CSIC (Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior Deinvestigaciones Cientificas - Spain), QIB (Quadram Institute Bioscience - UK) and INRAE (Institut National De Recherche Pour L'agriculture, L'alimentation Et L'environnement - France) are partners in the project.

Within the scope of the project, which will study the bioavailability/bioefficacy of polyphenols in foods, it is aimed to gain competence on the health effects of foods. With the trainings, summer schools, technical visits, seminars, workshops and information days to be organized with the project partners for three years, cooperation with national and international stakeholders will be carried out at the highest level. It is also planned to organize the "15th International Conference and Exhibition on Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods - ISNFF" congress in Turkey in 2022.
