Cooperation Meetings between TÜBİTAK MAM and ASELSAN

The visit program between TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center and ASELSAN aims to make significant contributions to the development of domestic and national R&D projects by deepening cooperation in the fields of advanced technology and innovation.

A comprehensive visit program was carried out between TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and ASELSAN in order to strengthen their advanced technology development and innovation capacities. Within the scope of the program, the technical infrastructures, R&D areas and strategic goals of the two institutions were mutually evaluated and joint cooperation opportunities were discussed.

The program started with an introduction and cooperation meeting hosted by TÜBİTAK MAM. During the meeting, detailed information was given about TÜBİTAK MAM's areas of competence, infrastructures and the projects carried out. ASELSAN's technology vision and priority research areas were shared. Technology areas open to cooperation and potential joint projects were discussed through mutual exchange of views.

Following the meeting, the participants visited TÜBİTAK MAM's Piezoelectric Technologies, Glass Technologies, Photonic Technologies, High Temperature Materials, Polymer Technologies, Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Laboratories. These laboratories within TÜBİTAK MAM carry out original R&D activities in a wide range of fields from piezoelectric materials to glass technologies, photonic systems to high temperature materials, polymer technologies to hydrogen and fuel cell systems. The laboratories carry out advanced technology production, testing and development activities for strategic sectors such as healthcare, defense, automotive, energy and electronics, and their extensive infrastructure and expertise enable the development of innovative materials and system solutions. During the visit, detailed information was provided about the technical infrastructure of each laboratory, their areas of expertise and the projects carried out.

The visit was attended by Dr. Ersin Üresin, Vice President of Materials and Process Technologies, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abit Balin, Director of Strategy and Project Management, from TÜBİTAK MAM; Yusuf Erdem, Manager reporting to the Deputy General Manager of Technology and Strategy Management, and Engineer Dr. Ali Erdem Eken, Senior Lead Team Leader of the Materials Engineering Unit of the SST Sector Directorate, from ASELSAN. The meetings between TÜBİTAK MAM and ASELSAN are of strategic importance for the development of joint projects in critical areas such as advanced material technologies, energy systems, sensors and photonic applications. The cooperation between the two organizations is considered an important step towards the development of domestic and national technologies.
