In line with our vision of being among the leading countries in the world with its original scientific studies on polar sciences, national science expeditions to the polar regions (Arctic and Antarctica) are organized regularly every year under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute (KARE). The expeditions aim to enable our scientists to conduct original, sustainable and high quality scientific studies on polar sciences, to cooperate with scientists of other countries and to make our country one of the respected countries that have a say in the polar regions.
In line with these objectives, the CALL FOR POLAR 1001-2024 was opened to determine the polar projects that can be carried out by participating or not participating in the National Science Expeditions (TAE: National Antarctic Science Expedition, TASE: National Arctic Science Expedition) planned to be carried out by our country in the Polar Regions, and the CALL FOR Participation in the Polar Foreign Research Base was opened to determine the polar projects that can be carried out by participating in the Foreign Research Base.
