TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute participated in the "10th National Acoustics Congress" organized by the Turkish Acoustics Association in Istanbul between 16-17 December 2013. In the congress, more than 50 papers were presented in 9 sessions for two days. In the congress; Volume Acoustics, Machine Acoustics, Environmental Noise, Acoustic Measurements and Noise Control in Buildings were presented.

Institute Researchers Deniz Sarı and Samet Feyyaz Hamamcı participated in the congress. The paper titled "Noise Mapping Studies at Airports - Examples from Turkey" was presented by Deniz Sarı.

The fields of activity of the Institute within the scope of its work on noise can be listed as preparation of strategic noise maps, creation of noise databases at city scale, development of a source noise dispersion model, identification of sensitive areas affected by noise and determination of measures required for noise control.
