"1st TÜBİTAK MAM Patent Day", organized for the first time this year by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Vice Presidency of Strategy and Technology Development (BYST) Patent Support Unit (PDB), was held on 24 December 2015 at TÜBİTAK MAM Dining Hall, Gebze.

70 personnel participated in the event, which was attended by inventors from the past to the present, who have been included as "Inventors" in registered or applied patents and who are still working at MAM. In addition, the managers of the institution and the personnel who supported the organization were also among the guests. In her opening speech, Patent Support Unit Manager Gülsen Oksay expressed her pleasure to be together after commemorating the inventors who have left the institution with respect and the deceased inventors with respect and mercy. During the event, patents from past to present (with Invention Name, Inventors, Registration Number and Year of Registration) were shared with a slide show on the basis of institutes.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President of Strategy and Technology Development, emphasized the importance of protecting inventions with patents and their subsequent commercialization. The event ended with the satisfaction and good wishes of the participants.
