TÜBİTAK MAM President Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, TPAO Deputy General Manager Edip Müyesseroğlu and TPIC Deputy General Manager İlhan Demir attended the meeting on Horizontal Drilling Technology, which is shown as the latest technology in order to meet the technology needs of our country in the field of drilling systems.
At the meeting, which was attended by the Managers of TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences, Kocaeli University Faculty Members, TPAO and TPIC Deputy General Managers, it was emphasized that the localization of drilling services is necessary for the efficient exploration and operation of our underground resources. As TÜBİTAK MAM, information was given about the studies on drilling technologies and subsystems.
It was emphasized that the application of Horizontal Drilling Technology, which has been increasingly used in recent years and which our country is completely dependent on foreign resources, will provide high cost savings to our economy in the field of shale gas, oil, coal and geothermal drilling. It was stated that we, as TÜBİTAK MAM, are always ready to support TPAO in its localization efforts with our high technology infrastructure and innovative approaches.
