Vice President of Energy Technologies
Prof. Dr. Doğan GEZER is currently working as a Coordinator in the Vice Presidency of Energy Technologies at TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (MAM). After completing his bachelor's and master's degrees in METU Electrical and Electronics Engineering department, he focused on the field of hydroelectricity at TOBB ETU Mechanical Engineering department for his PhD studies. He specialized in energy systems, renewable energy technologies and hydraulic power generation.
During his career, he has been involved in numerous national and European Union funded research and innovation projects as an executive, coordinator or work package leader. He works on topics such as digitalization in hydropower plants, energy recovery in drinking water systems, smart grids and power systems planning. Currently, he is actively involved in projects under ERA-NET Smart Energy Systems, COST Action and Horizon Europe programs.
