Zekeriya COŞTU, General Director of National Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and an accompanying delegation visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM).
During the visit, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Dr. Osman OKUR made technical presentations about the history of MAM, the projects carried out by the Vice Presidency of Materials Technologies, and the infrastructure of MAM. In this context, the parties exchanged views on future investments and possible cooperation areas.
After the presentations, TÜBİTAK Vice President and MAM President Prof. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL informed the delegation about the activities carried out by TÜBİTAK MAM and the competencies of the institution.
After the meeting, the delegation paid on-site visits to and got detailed information at Precision Casting Technologies Laboratory, Superalloy Casting Technologies Laboratory, High Temperature Materials Research Development and Repair Center of Excellence, Glass Technologies Laboratory and Underwater Acoustics Laboratory under TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Technologies Vice Presidency.
Then, the delegation visited TÜBİTAK Informatics and Information Security Research Center (BİLGEM) Laser Technologies Laboratory (Electro-optics and Laser Systems), TÜBİTAK Rail Transportation Technologies Institute (RUTE) Robotics and Electronics Design Laboratory, Power Systems Laboratory, Engine Center of Excellence and Battery Laboratory.
