President of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) and Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Ms. Fatma ŞAHİN and Secretary General of TBB Assoc. Prof. Birol EKİCİ visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on 14 August 2020.
The meeting, which was attended by the President of TÜBİTAK MAM Prof. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN, the Vice President Assoc. Prof. Murat MAKARACI, the Food Institute Director Assoc.Prof. Cesarettin ALAŞALVAR, the Director of Polar Research Institute Assoc. Prof. Burcu ÖZSOY and the Director of the Institute of Chemical Technology Dr. Osman OKUR, started with the opening remarks of the Presidents Prof. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN and Ms. Fatma ŞAHİN.
The Vice President Assoc. Prof. Murat MAKARACI made a presentation on the portfolio of products/technologies/services/tests and solutions created by TÜBİTAK MAM for municipalities, then the visiting delegation paid on-site visits to TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute (ÇTÜE), Earth and Marine Sciences Institute (YDBE), Energy Institute (EE) and Food Institute (GE) and got briefing on Noise Barriers, Dissolved Oxygen, Water Safety, Fuel Cell, Hydrogen Burning/Gasification and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Center.
As part of the protocol to be signed between TBB and TÜBİTAK MAM, national solutions will be created for the needs of Turkish municipalities with the support of TBB.
