Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Dr. Hasan AYDINLIK visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center on 24 February 2020.
During the meeting that was attended by the President of MAM Prof. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN, the Vice President Assoc. Prof. Murat MAKARACI, the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Institute Director Prof. Şaban TEKİN, the Institute of Chemical Technology Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Şerife SARIOĞLAN and the Senior Researcher Dr. Jülide KÖROĞLU; a presentation was made about the projects and study fields of MAM.
The President of MAM Prof. KILIÇASLAN expressed his pleasure from the implementation of the project on “Encouragement for the Production of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants” prepared as part of the eco-tourism efforts of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.
He stated that within the scope of the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Product Development project of TÜBİTAK MAM, the formulation of a drug made of “Ruscus Aculeatus” was completed and submitted for validation and licensing. He added that the Institutes of Marmara Research Center with an advanced infrastructure and qualified human resource are ready to cooperate with Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.
Mr. AYDINLIK expressed the importance of matching the study fields of MAM Institutes with the city dynamics and stated the possibility of working in harmony.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Centers of Excellence and laboratories of TÜBİTAK MAM.
