Turkey’s first R&D institution TÜBİTAK MAM and ASPİLSAN signed a Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Protocol on 22 November 2019.
The signing ceremony was attended by the President of TÜBİTAK MAM Prof. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN, the Vice President Assoc. Prof. Murat MAKARACI, the Director of Energy Institute Prof. Abdülkadir BALIKÇI, the Deputy Director of Energy Institute Assoc. Prof. Fehmi AKGÜN, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASPİLSAN Mr. İlhan BÖLÜK and the Director General of ASPİLSAN Mr. Ferhat ÖZSOY.
The President of TÜBİTAK MAM Prof. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN expressed that the Battery Technologies Center of Excellence, which was established in 2004, contributed to the nationalization move of Turkey with high technologies.
He added that TÜBİTAK MAM with qualified human resources and infrastructural facilities should be considered as an R&D Center of ASPİLSAN Energy Inc. and expressed the importance of deciding together on the next technologies.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASPİLSAN Mr. İlhan BÖLÜK expressed his pleasure from the “Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Protocol” signed with TÜBİTAK MAM, and noted the importance of such joint works in reducing the foreign dependency of Turkey in portable energy systems.
Under the “Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Protocol” between TÜBİTAK MAM and ASPİLSAN Energy Inc., it is aimed to create cooperation in the fields of Battery Technologies, Energy Storage Systems and Fuel Cells for use in aviation, rail systems and similar sectors.
