Spanish Polar Committee Delegation visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on 27.09.2022 to discuss the efforts on scientific collaborations and logistics processes.
The 1st Cooperation Meeting where Turkish Researchers and Spanish Researchers came together and scientific collaborations and mutual relations were discussed were attended by Spanish Defense Attaché D. Angel Sevillano, Spanish Polar Committee Director Prof. Antonio Quesada, Scientist Dr. Josabel Belliure and the Captain of the Spanish Scientific Research Vessel Hesperides, Cpt. D. Rafael F. Aguirre Pastor.
At the meeting chaired by TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President of Climate Change and Sustainability and Director of Polar Research Institute Ms. Burcu Özsoy, mutual presentations were made by the Turkish and Spanish delegations.
In the first session of the two-session meeting, the parties discussed cooperation exchanges, at the end of the presentations. Then they proceeded to the second session of the meeting.
At the end of the second session for improving logistical processes, the parties made positive decisions on mutual logistical assistance and project collaborations between Spain and Türkiye.
