In the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease which has spread to many countries from the Wuhan City of the People’s Republic of China, the number of cases has gone beyond 330 thousand and more than 14 thousand people have lost their lives. 2. Hygiene
All the surfaces frequently touched by hands like turnstiles, door handles, stair railings, faucets, sinks, etc. are frequently cleaned with 1/100 bleach-water solution as recommended by the COVID-19 guide of the Scientific Committee.

3. Thermal Camera
At the headquarter of Marmara Research Center, body temperatures of the personnel are measured when they stand on the marked area for a while after passing the turnstiles in front of the Information Desk. The personnel detected to have fever are forwarded to the In-House Health Service for health checks and fever measurement and, when necessary, directed to hospitals by providing medical masks.
4. Hand Disinfectants
When there is visible or invisible contamination, hand disinfectants are used to prevent the disease-causing microorganisms from infecting our bodies and other people. The most frequently and safely used ones are the alcohol based hand disinfectants.
Alcohol-based hand disinfectants have been placed at the entrances of the MAM headquarter and the Institute buildings to ensure continuous hand cleaning.
5. Packed Lunch
In order to minimize gatherings, we started to distribute lunch boxes instead of serving meals in the dining hall.
6. Shuttle Buses
As required by the Circular of the Ministry of Interior, all the shuttle buses have started to serve with full capacity to meet the 50% occupancy rate requirement.
In order to minimize the contact of the personnel with each other during the use of shuttle buses, it has become mandatory to cross-seat the passengers distantly and to carry minimum number of passengers.
The disinfection of the shuttles is conducted by BİLGEM (INFORMATICS AND INFORMATION SECURITY RESEARCH CENTER). Frequently contacted surfaces are cleaned and monitored frequently. All shuttle buses will be disinfected once a week.
We wish you healthy days.
