IPA INNOFOOD Food Innovations Anatolian Technologies Platform Meeting was held at TÜBİTAK MAM with the participation of TÜBİTAK President Prof. Hasan MANDAL.
During the meeting which was attended by civil society representatives, food sector companies, cooperatives and food associations, the participants discussed the objectives of establishing Research and Innovation Facilities with a view to improving regional competitiveness in Food Industry.
TÜBİTAK President Prof. Hasan MANDAL emphasized the importance of the food sector in the world and in Turkey and stated that the contributions and suggestions of the sector representatives are of strategic importance and that the studies will be continued by coming together after the establishment of the platform. He referred to the opinions and expectations of the sector representatives on the R&D fields that ANTEPFIN Platform must give priority.
As part of the meeting, the participants visited the Pilot Plant of TÜBİTAK MAM Food Institute, and got briefed on the infrastructure of the pilot plant.
