With the participation of TÜBİTAK President Prof. Hasan MANDAL, an event was held at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center to celebrate the “8 March International Women’s Day”.
The event was attended by all women staff, interns and scholarship holders in TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center.
TÜBİTAK President Prof. Hasan MANDAL attended the event through video conference and delivered a speech. He said “It is an honor for me to work with you. I hope we will achieve many developments and improvements in the coming years together. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our women colleagues for their hard work and strong efforts.”
During the event that took place in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere, interview videos were displayed about the stories of two women staff, Ms. Ayla KANAAT and Ms. Nilgün YAMANOK who will retire in March 2021. TÜBİTAK MAM President gave them certificates of appreciation for their great work and support throughout their career in MAM.
Then a video was shown, which is composed of the answers by women to the question “Who is woman?”. The joy of the participants were remarkable.
TÜBİTAK MAM President Dr. Osman OKUR said “We would be incomplete without you! We are so glad that you are with us.” and congratulated the 8 March International Women’s Day of the all women.
