The ICCI Energy Awards Ceremony, where leading companies in energy sector are awarded, was held this year on December 6 in Ankara. The ceremony brought together leading professionals of the energy sector by supporting projects that contribute to Türkiye's sustainable energy potential.
ICCI has given awards to the best applications in 9 categories in total including Renewable Energy Plants, Hybrid Power Plants, Co-generation Power Plants, Innovative Technologies, Local Technology Manufacturers and Hydrogen Technologies.
TÜBİTAK MAM's “PEM Electrolyzer Development Project" got the ICCI 2023 Energy Award in the Hydrogen Technologies category. The award was presented by Prof. Filiz KARAOSMANOĞLU to TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Dr. Osman OKUR.
Hydrogen generation from renewable energy sources is becoming more and more important in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Türkiye, as across the world. Accordingly, the “PEM Electrolyzer Development Project" by TÜBİTAK MAM Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Research Group aimed to develop a domestic electrolyzer system for green hydrogen production, and upon the successful completion of the project, the first domestic PEM type electrolyzer system with a capacity of 10 kW at TRL-7 and with 76% module efficiency was developed.
The ICCI Energy Awards aim to bring together the important stakeholders of the energy sector in Turkiye, to promote developments in energy sector and to support projects of the future. In this context, it brings together leading professionals of energy sector, industrialists, public administrators and academics.
