As part of Horizon Europe Framework Program, the Horizon Europe Program "Digital, Industry and Space" Cluster Information Day, which aims to support applicants in the 2021-2027 period, was held in Gebze on January 19, 2023, by TÜBİTAK EU Framework Directorate, and the event was hosted by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM).
During the event, presentations were made on "Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space Cluster" National Contact Points across Horizon Europe and on "Cluster 4: 2023 calls". After the presentations, TÜBİTAK Vice President and TÜBİTAK MAM President Prof. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil gave a speech on the significance of the day.
In his speech, Prof. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil said, “I would like to express that TÜBİTAK Headquarters and Institutes are your evident stakeholders. Horizon Europe programs are both our criteria for success and one of our most important goals. At this point, it is our internal goal to integrate the valuable human resources and research infrastructure here into the European Union and to be active in consortia. We will carry out critical, target-oriented, project-based, consortium-forming collaborations together in a more active format. Turkiye is putting forward a significant international vision in 2023. TÜBİTAK is the most important stakeholder of this vision. TÜBİTAK has become the term president of EUREKA as of January 1st. The term president of another organization, WAITRO, is also Turkiye. Especially EUREKA, TÜBİTAK bilateral and multilateral collaboration programs and COST actions are very useful programs for taking part in various networks of Horizon Europe ERA-NETs and for building consortia. And we need to pay the proper attention to these programs."
During the Information Day, which was attended by 116 researchers from major industrial companies, SMEs, universities and research centers, more than 50 one-on-one meetings were held.
