Leading professionals of the energy sector, energy investors, public decision makers, industrialists, suppliers, officials of institutions and associations, and representatives of many academic and non-governmental organizations came together at the "ICCI Energy Awards", which was held for the ninth time this year and is known as the Oscars of the Turkish energy sector.
The project on installing hydro units in urban water transmission lines, developed by the General Directorate of İzmir Water and Sewerage Administration (İZSU), TOBB University of Economics and Technology and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), won the technology, digitalization and innovation special award as part of the 9th ICCI Energy Awards.
The project aims to establish unmanned hydroelectric power plants with status assessment systems in İzmir's urban water supply network. In this way, the hydraulic potential that is not used in water transmission lines will be transformed into green energy.
The "ICCI Energy Awards", which are given to support the services and contributions made to the Energy Sector, which has become one of the most important agenda items in Türkiye and in the world, also aim to encourage projects and services to be made in the future.
