TÜBİTAK MRC Continues Fostering Technology Transfer To Industry

Intellectual and industrial property rights of the latent fingerprint powders and sprays that were developed by the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) of TUBITAK Marmara Research Center for Turkish National Police was transferred to a private company called Aktif Savunma Industry and Trade Limited Company with exclusive license. “Development of Latent Fingerprint Development Products”Project was funded by TUBITAK KAMAG 1007 Programme.

Dr. İbrahim Bekar, Business Development and Industrialization Vice President of MRC; İlyas Yücedal, the owner of Aktif Savunma; Dr. Melek Erol, the project manager from ICT and researchers from the project team including Dr. Merve Gürtekin Seden, Serkan Gürbüz, Tuğba İpeksaç, Dr. Bahar Özmen Monkul and Dr. Cemil Dizman as well as Meryem Işık from Teknology Transfer Department, Ertuğrul Daşkaya from Product Management Department and Seçil Selçuk from Proposal and Contract Departmant were attented to the submission of the Technology Information Package meeting which was held at TUBİTAK MRC on on December 4th, 2015.

After the meeting, the Company officials visited ICT laboratories and were informed about the processes and the equipments used during the project development.

The products for forementioned technology transfer were produced by TUBITAK MRC ICT for the needs of Turkish National Police in 2014 and 2015, as follow:

  • SEPIA Heavy Black Fingerprint Powder
  • DEEP BLACK Light Black Fingerprint Powder
  • PEARL White Fingerprint Powder
  • SAFFRON Yellow Fluorescent Fingerprint Powder
  • MAGNET Magnetic Black Fingerprint Powder
  • Black Fingerprint Spray (Black SPR)
  • White Fingerprint Spray (White SPR)
