The project output will be used in GÖKBEY
The project on the domestic development and production of cooled and uncooled single-crystal blades operating under high temperatures in the high pressure turbine modules, which is one of the most important projects of MAM, has been completed. The blades that can endure high speeds and harsh environmental conditions -mainly high temperature- for long periods under multi-directional forces have been produced in single-crystal form by investment casting method.
Being one of the most critical parts of a high pressure turbine module owing to the capability to operate at 1400 oC and higher temperatures at very high rpms, these blades will be used in the ground tests of the national TS1400 motor developed by TEI and in the ground tests of the first General Purpose Helicopter GÖKBEY (T625) to be equipped with the motor.
The project for the domestic production of turbine parts with strategic importance for aviation sector has been conducted as part of the cooperation between TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute and TEI (TUSAŞ) and with the supports of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget and the Presidency of Defense Industries.
