PROTECTIVE TEXTILE TEST CENTER STARTS FUNCTIONAL TEXTILE AND MASK ANALYSES

Protective Textile Test Center (KOTTEM), which has been established in TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute with the support of Eastern Marmara Development Agency (MARKA) and TÜBİTAK, started test services for the characterization of masks and functional textiles.

KOTTEM under TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute offers the following analysis services:

• Respiratory resistance test in respiratory protective devices (TS EN 149 + A1)
• Filter penetration test in respiratory protective devices (TS EN 149 + A1)
• Bacterial filtration efficiency test on medical face masks (TS EN 14683:2019 + AC)
• Breathability test on medical face masks (TS EN 14683:2019 + AC)
• Viral filtration efficiency test (modified TS EN 14683:2019 + AC)
• Dry microbial penetration resistance test on protective clothing against infectious agents (TS EN ISO 22612)

Wet bacterial penetration resistance test on surgical drapes, clothing and clean air suits (TS EN ISO 22610)
