Kocaeli Health and Technology University (KOSTÜ) Rector Prof. Muzaffer Elmas and an accompanying delegation visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on 10.08.2022.
The meeting that was headed by the KOSTÜ Rector Prof. Muzaffer Elmas and TÜBİTAK Vice President and TÜBİTAK MAM President Prof. Ahmet Yozgatligil was attended by KOSTÜ Vice-Rector Prof. Füsun Terzioğlu, Head of Strategy Planning and Development Department and Faculty Member Barış Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Pelin Yüksel Mayda, Member of the Board of Trustees Prof. Barkın Berk, Pharmacy Faculty Member Dr. Betül Büyükkiliç, Pharmacy Faculty Member Dr. Onur Çetinkaya, Pharmacy Faculty Member Dr. Sara Pour, as well as, from TÜBİTAK MAM, the Advisor to the President of MAM Assoc. Prof. Cesarettin Alaşalvar, Strategy and Business Development Director Assoc. Prof. Abit Balın, Senior Researcher Assoc. Prof. Hilal Yazıcı Malkoçoğlu, Chief Researcher Dr. İncinur Hasbay, Chief Researcher Dr. Hayrettin Özer, Chief Expert Yusuf Kılıç and Expert Namık Serkan Taşkıran.
At the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was made about the achievements and infrastructure of TÜBİTAK MAM in scientific research. KOSTÜ Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Pelin Yüksel Mayda gave information about the studies at the university.
In the course of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on training students in laboratory environment, conducting joint projects between researchers and students and common use of medical devices.
After the meeting, KOSTÜ delegation paid a visit to the Immunogenetics Laboratory, Biosafety Level 3 Laboratory (BSL-3), Plant Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory and GMP Laboratory.
The delegation got an on-site briefing on the studies conducted there and examined the infrastructure.
