The International KOP (Konya Plains Project) Regional Development Symposium was held on 17 October 2019 in cooperation of the Konya Plains Project Regional Development Administration under the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Association of Universities in KOP Region (UNIKOP) composed of 13 universities, under the term presidency of Kırıkkale University.
The President of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Prof. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN delivered a speech in the symposium and made a presentation on the Development of Renewable Energy in Turkey expressing the importance of renewable energy sources to eliminate foreign dependency in meeting Turkey’s need for energy.
He stated that renewable energy is generated from continuously or repeatedly accessible sources in the natural environment and that this kind of energy, which can be easily generated from domestic sources, is considered as a solution conforming to the modern age requirements.
