Workshop on 3Rs & 2D and 3D Liver, Skin, Eye and Intestinal Regulatory Models

The workshop will overview strategies and practical aspects of 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) which promotes alternative tools to minimize unnecessary suffering of laboratory animals. The programme includes presentations of invited experts as well as practical laboratory demonstrations of alternative in vitro models and techniques. Participants will learn about 3R implementation in Europe and Czech Republic, in both academic and industrial research labs. Practical demonstrations will specifically focus on liver in vitro models such as hepatocytes, stem cells, 3D spheroids. The target audience include experimental biologists, pharmacologists and toxicologists, life sciences researchers and students at all levels of expertise.
