Polar Festival
In 2019, with the establishment of the Polar Research Institute (TÜBİTAK MAM KARE) within the Marmara Research Center of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, an institutional structure in the field of polar sciences was established in our country. TÜBİTAK MAM KARE, which undertakes many important tasks from the realization of National Polar Science Expeditions to the conduct of various researches, also plays a leading role in awareness and education activities. In this context, the "Polar Festival" is regularly organized, which includes various educational awareness activities related to polar sciences and is visited by a large public - student - teacher audience exceeding thousands.

Legislation
On September 15, 2020, "Procedures and Principles Regarding National Polar Science Expeditions and Activities" was published within the scope of TÜBİTAK legislation and entered into force.
The purpose of these Procedures and Principles is to determine the procedures and principles regarding the conduct of the National Polar Science Expeditions in the Antarctic Treaty Area and the Arctic, carried out by the Republic of Türkiye under the leadership of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye Marmara Research Center Polar Research Institute in the field and all kinds of activities, studies, processes and operations. Its scope includes the powers, duties and responsibilities of the persons who will take part in the operation of the Expedition in order to be carried out safely and securely in line with the planned objectives within the framework of these procedures and principles.

National Polar Science Workshop
In 2019, with the establishment of the Polar Research Institute (TÜBİTAK MAM KARE) within the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Marmara Research Center, an institutional structure in the field of polar sciences was established in our country. Every year, the "National Polar Sciences Symposium" is organized where the results of projects, scientific studies and expeditions carried out by Turkish scientists in the field of polar sciences are evaluated and developments are discussed.
